The fake loan scam: "approved, you just need to pay the fee"
A loan approved on the spot, or a payroll loan swap with a lower instalment. To release it, they ask for a fee up front. A real loan never charges anything first.
Also called: advance fee loan, fake loan offer.
How it works
- The scammer advertises easy credit or calls to offer a payroll loan transfer.
- They send a contract that looks like a bank's and say the credit was approved.
- They ask for a fee, insurance, tax or the first instalment before release, and the money never comes.
Where it usually starts: ad, messaging app, phone call.
How it arrives on Bipe. Simulation with sample people and messages.
The real message
The real company never asks for a code, a password or a Pix to a personal key. On Bipe, it will show the seal and its CNPJ (coming soon).

How to spot it
- Approved without any check.
- They ask for money before you receive anything.
- The payment goes to a person, not a bank.
What to do
- Do not pay anything to receive a loan.
- Simulate and sign only in your bank app or with an institution the Central Bank authorises.
- Already paid? Talk to your bank, ask for MED and file a police report.

What Bipe does not solve here
The warning shows when the chat asks for a fee to release money. Beyond that, Bipe cannot check the offer.
Bipe only protects the chats that happen in Bipe. If someone in the family still uses another app, a scammer can write to them there.
