Know who you are talking to.

Your number stays hidden. The person talking to you doesn't. Bipe is a free Brazilian messenger with no ads. It warns you when a message looks like a scam, and people you don't know arrive as a request.

Test version, through Apple TestFlight.

Simulation with sample messages. The warning uses the same rules as the app.

What Bipe does

Your @, not your number.

Pick a username and share only that. Anyone with the link proseio.com.br/@you opens a chat with you without seeing your phone number.

  • A link and a QR code for your profile, ready to share.
  • Names that differ by one detail, like ana.souza and anasouza, count as the same name. Nobody can take one that looks almost like yours.
  • After you change your @, you wait 30 days to change it again. Your old @ stays held for 90 days.

Simulation. The name rules are the same as in the app.

No ads. Your data is not for sale.

Bipe doesn't live on ads, so it has no reason to collect data about you. It's free and it will stay free. Chats live on servers in Brazil, encrypted end to end.

  • You never pay to use Bipe.
  • No ads, in any tab. Nobody buys information about you.
  • Servers in Brazil, run by Brazilian companies.
  • Chats encrypted end to end from the first message.

The group only calls you when it's about you.

Your phone buzzes when someone mentions you, replies to you or starts a poll. Everything else arrives quietly. When you open the group, what was meant for you sits at the top.

  • Back in the group after a while? Who mentioned you and the polls still waiting on your vote come first.
  • Polls, pinned messages and threads already work in the test app.
  • People you already know show up on Bipe from day one, if they choose to.

Brazilian, open and independent

The servers are in Brazil, run by Brazilian companies. Underneath, Bipe uses an open network that no single company controls. The code goes public soon. About →
