The betting scam: tigrinho bots, paid tips and fake balance refunds
A bot that knows when to play, a paid tips group or a platform that pays a lot. Since October 2026, fixed-odds betting is banned in Brazil. A balance refund never charges a fee.
Also called: betting scam, fake betting tips.
How it works
- The scammer sells access to a bot or a tips group that promises sure wins.
- Or they point you to a new platform that pays at first and then blocks withdrawals.
- Now they also write about refunds of betting balances and charge a fee to release them.
Where it usually starts: social media, messaging app, ad.
How it arrives on Bipe. Simulation with sample people and messages.
How to spot it
- A sure win in a game of chance.
- They pay you for referrals and for friends' deposits.
- They ask for a fee to refund money that is yours.
What to do
- Do not pay for a bot or tips. Nobody predicts a game of chance.
- Balance refunds go through your bank and charge no fee.
- Fell for it? Keep everything and file a police report.

Each item shows where it stands on iPhone and Android.
Scam warnings
A warning shows under a message that looks like a scam, such as a rushed Pix, a new number or a boleto. It is on by default, with nothing to set up.

Verified-only groups
A group can admit only people with a verified seal. Someone without a seal who asks to join gets a notice and stays out.
iPhone: Coming soon · Android: Coming soon
What Bipe does not solve here
Almost all of it happens in ads, social media and groups in other apps. On Bipe, the warning shows on requests for a fee or a deposit.
Bipe only protects the chats that happen in Bipe. If someone in the family still uses another app, a scammer can write to them there.
