Copied photo
If a new account uses the photo of someone in your chats, Bipe warns you before you reply.
iPhone: In development · Android: In development
How it works
- The new number scam copies the photo and the name of a relative. The warning says whose photo it is.
- The comparison runs on your phone. The photos never leave it for this.
- The warning shows on the message request, with the age of the account.
- A different photo does not mean the account is safe. Before paying, check through another channel.

More in Identity
Verified seal
Free verification through Pix or gov.br. The seal comes with the verified name.
Business seal
A company, school or association proves its CNPJ and gets a seal with the name on the federal register.
Reserved names
Bank, government and Bipe names are kept for the institution's verified account.
Disguised letters
The name check treats some lookalikes, such as O and 0, as the same letter. It does not cover every similar name.
Bots always marked
Every automated account is a bot. A bot always shows its mark and the name of its owner.
Is that really Mom?
If the contact saved as Mom has a different verified name, the app asks if it's the same person.
