The task scam: get paid to like videos, then pay to cash out
A side-income job pays for small tasks, such as liking videos. The first ones really pay, to build trust. Then comes the request for a deposit to release your earnings.
Also called: task scam, fake job offer, paid likes scam.
How it works
- An offer of easy work on your phone arrives, paid per task.
- The first tasks pay a few reais by Pix, and you join a group of people who are earning.
- To go on, cash out or move up a level, they ask for a deposit that never comes back.
Where it usually starts: messaging app, social media, ad.
How it arrives on Bipe. Simulation with sample people and messages.
How to spot it
- Nobody interviewed you or asked for a CV.
- You have to pay to earn.
- The group is only people celebrating their earnings.
What to do
- Real work never charges you to work or to cash out.
- Leave the group and do not deposit more to get back what is gone.
- Already paid? Talk to your bank, ask for MED and file a police report.
How Bipe helps
Each item shows where it stands on iPhone and Android.
Message requests
People who are not in your contacts arrive as a request. A message from a new number does not land straight in your chat list.

Scam warnings
A warning shows under a message that looks like a scam, such as a rushed Pix, a new number or a boleto. It is on by default, with nothing to set up.

Verified-only groups
A group can admit only people with a verified seal. Someone without a seal who asks to join gets a notice and stays out.

What Bipe does not solve here
The person joins by choice. Bipe warns, but it does not block the chat.
Bipe only protects the chats that happen in Bipe. If someone in the family still uses another app, a scammer can write to them there.
