# Bipe · Know who you are talking to.

Your number stays hidden. The person talking to you doesn't. Bipe is a free Brazilian messenger with no ads. It warns you when a message looks like a scam, and people you don't know arrive as a request.

## Who is talking to you

A scam comes with a warning, and people you don't know arrive as a request. Soon, a seal shows the verified name.

- [A warning when someone tries to scam you.](https://proseio.com.br/en/trust/) (In the test app): When a message looks like a scam, a warning shows up right under it and tells you what to do. People who aren't in your contacts arrive as a request. Soon, a seal shows who is who, and a bank's name stays with the bank.

- [Scam warnings](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/scam-warnings/) (iPhone: In the test app; Android: In development): A warning appears under a message that looks like a scam: a rushed Pix, a new number, a boleto, a receipt.
- [Message requests](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/message-requests/) (iPhone: In the test app; Android: In development): People who aren't in your contacts arrive as a request. You accept it or ignore it.
- [A pause before paying](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/pause-before-paying/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): When a money request looks suspicious, copy and pay stay locked for 5 seconds. The pause breaks the scammer's rush.

- [Your account lives on your phone](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/account-on-your-phone/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): No email required and no hard password to remember. You pick an 8-digit PIN, like the one for your bank.
- [New phone, same account](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/new-phone/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): Got a new phone or lost yours? There is more than one way back into your account, and none goes through an SMS code.

- [Business seal](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/business-seal/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): A company, school or association proves its CNPJ and gets a seal with the name on the federal register.
- [Reserved names](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/reserved-names/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): Bank, government and Bipe names are kept for the institution's verified account.
- [Disguised letters](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/lookalike-letters/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): Swapping an O for a 0, or for a lookalike letter from another alphabet, won't fool the name check.
- [Is that really Mom?](https://proseio.com.br/en/features/is-that-really-mom/) (iPhone: Coming soon; Android: Coming soon): If the contact saved as Mom has a different verified name, the app asks if it's the same person.

Your number and your data stay with you. People find you by your @, and nothing you do turns into an ad.

## What Bipe does

- [The group only calls you when it's about you.](https://proseio.com.br/en/groups/) (Coming soon): Your phone buzzes when someone mentions you, replies to you or starts a poll. Everything else arrives quietly. When you open the group, what was meant for you sits at the top.
