Bipe is free for people. The idea is that it pays for itself through companies and institutions that want to talk to their customers safely. This page explains the proposal. It is still under study, and nothing here is for sale.

## Why a company would be here

- Only your company uses your name. Bank, shop and government names are kept for the account with a verified CNPJ, so fake support cannot copy you.
- Customers see the seal and the CNPJ in every chat with you.
- A Pix charge shows the CNPJ that receives the money before the customer pays.
- Data and servers stay in Brazil, under Brazilian law.

## How Bipe would pay for itself

- People who use Bipe to chat never pay.
- A company pays a flat monthly fee per verified CNPJ. It covers verification, the reserved name and the API.
- At the start there is no price per message.
- Bipe takes no fee on Pix.

## An API for the company's system

- A company connects its own system to Bipe: it sends notices, receives replies and answers from the software it already uses.
- The chat is decrypted on the company's system, not on Bipe's servers. Smaller companies can use a partner that runs this for them.
- We want the move to be easy for companies that already use the WhatsApp API.
- The API does not exist yet.

## The rules that protect customers

- A company only messages people who agreed to receive messages.
- The app shows when a program is answering.
- A link in a company's message opens only if it points to the company's own site. Payment only through Pix inside the app.
- A company that gets many blocks and reports can send less.

## What is still open

- The amount of the monthly fee.
- Which sectors come first: banks, public services, schools and condomínios, or shops.
